Walker's headbutt
This will be a short suspension, guaranteed. It's always a dangerous play when guys decide to do this.

I watched that fight live, and noticed the headbutt right away. It was a total gutless move by Walker, who is a guy that should be used to the rough stuff and understand "the code". I tink the headbutt was bad enough, but if you watch the replay, he actually chucked a late punch in there as the refs broke the fight up. A suspension is one thing.....but Walker's reputation among other players is what he should be more concerned about.
Walker has always been an agitator who played on the edge, so no one will be very surprised by what has transpired here. The fact that he had just finished running Gerber, when Emery was already out with injury, won't help him much either. Two games is pretty much a given.
Three dirty moves from Walker. I didn't notice how flagrant his running of Gerber was until just now. Then, after Mike "don't call me pretty boy" Fischer showed him up in the fisticuffs, he throws a headbutt and a late punch. Tsk tsk.
Something tells me Grapes will weigh in on this on Saturday.
Love Fischer's reaction - no hesitation, no second thoughts, just right after Walker
Anyone else find it hilarious that they are playing Quiet Riot's "Mental Health (Bang Your Head)" in the arena after the fight?
I've never understood how you fight a guy wearing a half-shield.
Funny thing about the NHL; one gets suspensions for "intent to injure" for egregious wrongs such as headbutts. I hate to break it to people, but... ...they were fighting. Seems like there was already an inherent "intent to injure" to me.
