Good on him. Him wearing a Ducks sweater might introduce our great game to the next Mike Grier or Grant Fuhr.
I don't like this perception of hockey as a "white" sport--silly stuff like this promo can help, even in a small way.
Heh, only in SoCal, eh?
The beauty about this intermission piece was during the period before, they showed a shot of O'Ree and Snoop in their suitebox, sharing a few laughs.
Hayward (ignoring O'Ree): "We are hoping to bring you an interview with Mr. Dogg in the intermission."
The NHL should sign up Snoop and get him on all 30 arena screens doing promos and in all 30 markets doing commercials.
I'd use caution on who is likely or unlikely to be an NHL fan.
Is he unlikely because he's not white, or because he's American, or because he's a rap-music star. Be careful of stereotypes ...
Even more unlikely: Gary Bettman being a booster of the NHL.
Just sayin'.

Okay, mom, thanks for the advice.
Earl says -- only in SoCal, eh?
Agreed. Kings games seem a lot less vanilla than the games I used to see in the Northeast. Can't happen fast enough, in my opinion.
Bill MacDonald appears to be the whitest man alive. I can relate I'd probably sound jus as hip (as in not) standing next to Snoop as he did. It's kinda funny how star struck they seem to be though. He's not the first celebrity at a hockey game.
