A sportswriter at The Globe and Mail, James covers the NHL and the game of hockey. He is a member of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association, a senior editor with McKeen's Hockey and was the NHL network manager at SB Nation from 2008 to 2010. A graduate of Thompson Rivers and Ryerson universities, James grew up in Kamloops, B.C. — one of Canada's great hockey cities — and was a season ticket holder in the Blazers' glory years.

1) We believe we belong on that list. As an independent hockey blog we are going into our third year and about 425 or so posts.
2) We don't have rooting interest in any one team, and are not afraid to speak our mind/give our opinion.
I've only got 23 authority on technorati but I've been linked from places like Sports Illustrated. Does that count for extra authority? No? :)
I've been around for over a year, I've got over 200 posts and put up about 6 posts per week.
Have a look at mine. I'm a huge Penguins fan, but my blog looks at nearly everything having to do with hockey, specifically playing it.
I would love if the Sens Army Blog was on your list. I've been contributing there since it was founded in March last year. I hope it meets your criteria.
