The road trip begins
About nine hours from now, I'll be sitting in the Igloo, enjoying a beverage and watching the Islanders play Sid the Kid and the Penguins.
Getting tickets in Pittsburgh proved a pain, so I'll be way up in the rafters with the superfans, section D26, row P. I'm a very tall lanky guy and will have on some Canadiens or Canucks apparel (to stand out), if you want to stop by and say hello. If you'd like to meet up with us before or after the game, contact Seth at empty netters, who will be arranging the festivities.
I believe The Pensblog will be there with Charlie and their chicken lawyer.
Friday in Columbus, getting tickets wasn't a problem, and we'll be in row four behind the visiting Predators bench for that one. Maybe I'll even make TV.
Feel free to stop by if you're going to be at that one.
Looking forward to it..

Good luck, I'm making the opposite road trip starting tomorrow morning.
NYC-Buffalo-Toronto-Detroit-Philly and back to NYC. Hooray!
it depends how late you wait to get the tickets, some college students get them cheap, and sell them cheap. When i was there I was talking to a woman who got a ticket for 10 dollars
Ten dollars. And I can't even afford to think of going to see my Leafs.
Radio, blog, print and now maybe TV... Mirtle is King of all Media.
Section D? That isn't the rafters! Section F is in the rafters. I happen to think that Section D is the best section in the arena! It isn't under a balcony, so there isn't an obstructed view, and it's high enough to get a clear view of the entire ice.
I've had seats in A, C, D, and E sections at the Igloo. Section D has definitely been the best.
Have fun at the game!
Agreed - Section D at the Igloo is great. I'm in D23 every game -- James should be pleasantly surprised if he's expecting the rafters.
James,
Oh, you'll be the life of the party with that Canadiens' jersey !!
Have a great time...

Have a great time at the Igloo! Despite the criticism it receives, it has GREAT sightlines and will be missed after it's gone in a couple years. Everyone should try to get there before it's gone, it is truly unique in today's NHL.
And section D is definitely NOT the rafters though the balconies of E & F can hang and row P might be back a ways. Still you should be able to view the Sid/Hossa chemistry forming wherever you are.
There aren't even rafters at the Igloo 'n at!
If anyone wants to hang out with James prior to the game, we'll probably be hanging out at the Steelhead Brasserie and Wine Bar in the Marriott across from the Arena. Sometime like around 6ish.

When I was saw the pens I was 6 rows up, but since the glass is so beat up, its hard to see in the opposite corners
