Road trip update
The blog road trip has made some progress: We've got tickets for the Islanders @ Penguins on the 27th, and will be buying for the next night's Predators @ Blue Jackets upon arrival in Columbus. (I hear tickets are still available for that barn burner.)
I believe the plan is to then take in the Toronto FC game in Columbus the next afternoon. Anyone know what to do on Saturday night in Columbus?
Unfortunately, due to cost overruns, the Detroit leg of the journey has been cancelled. I'll surely be back at the Joe soon enough.
Thanks to everyone for their offers and suggestions.

Make sure to wear some red in support of TFC, and the 2,000 fans we are taking to that match. Be true to your anti-Columbus bias.
The R-Bar is right next to the arena, not a bad place to go. Also, there's BD's Mongolian BBQ there, delicious.
Has TFC come up with a name for what they're going to call the trophy for who wins the season series between them and the Crew?
I don't think they've decided yet, but I enjoyed this suggestion from the USector board.
Columbus is a college town...there is a bar right outside Nationwide...have fun. Why do you hate Columbus so much? :(
Totally kidding by the way.
I'm spending two days and untold tourism dollars checking out the city in late March; I think that means I love them dearly.
Saturday in C-bus, hit up any bar near campus, but be prepared to be bombarded with Buckeye talk and paraphernalia (about a mile or so north on High St.)
In addition, grab some pizza from Adriatico's, it'll change your life.
I haven't gotten a chance to go to a Blue Jackets game since I moved here to go to school (being from Pittsburgh, my Pens never play and the BJs are a sad excuse for a team), but Columbus is a nice city.
The Short North (also on High Street) is fun to walk through (Jeni's Ice Creams FTW) and the Brewery District (south on High Street) has some good bars.
Hey sweet, I'll be on a hockey road trip that same weekend and we'll sort of cross paths. My itinerary is:
3/28 - MTL @ BUF
3/29 - MTL @ TOR (Go Leafs go!)
3/30 - NSH @ DET
Good luck on your trip.
