A lot of transplants on this list. In general, if you're in a position to have been on the ice for a boatload of goals against, your team isn't going very far in the postseason.
But keep in mind that these are all big minute skaters.

If there's a demand for figures for goalies, I can put those together.

This is great stuff. The Shutdown Specials list is a little funny. Impressive to see Lidstrom and Sauer on there despite playing against such tough opposition. And I'm pretty surprised to see Gonchar above both Malkin and Crosby on the Power Players Part 1 list. I haven't watched much of the Pens this year, but I guess had the wrong idea about what drives their power play. (And judging by how none of them are in Part 2, it looks like their second unit is probably pretty good, too.)
Wow, sucks to be Brad Richards...well besides the huge contract and all :)
Solid list. I would love to see some goalie figures if you get a chance.
I knew Detroit was good defensively, but six of the ten shutdown players Red Wings? Wow.
(And three Sharks - for all the talk of their offense, they have been solid defensively as well.)
And goalie numbers would be nice, too - if you get the time in your busy schedule, of course. :)
Hahaha . . No-Goalovs
Quality of comp info at least partially explains Sakic and Richard's presence on the GA/60 list.
I think Foote is still a tremendous hockey player.
One name shows up in virtually every positive category - Pavel Datsyuk. Shows what a tremendous player he is and how underrated he is in both ends of the ice. While Detroit's game was uneven last night, Datsyuk had the puck on a string.
Any way you can find stats on "bad goals allowed" for goalies - goals that deflect off defensemen's skates, etc?
It seems like lots of the goals Lundqvist lets in are of that variety, so it'd be interesting to see an "adjusted" GAA for goalies without those bad goals.
Bear in mind that in the case of Brad Richards, he was playing in front of terrible goaltending in Tampa Bay which would obviously skew his numbers.
Brian Campbell being 2nd on the list of liabilities is interesting to me. Obviously his time in Buffalo created much of that, but after CBC went on and on about how he was a defensive god before the first round series started, I was rather surprised to see how utterly invisible he was against Calgary.
He generated nothing offensively, and was a non-factor defensively. It'll be interesting to see if he does anything against Dallas.
PAVEL DATSYUK...NICKLAS LIDSTROM...EVGENI MALKIN...BRIAN CAMPBELL...HENRIK ZETTERBERG...VACLAV PROSPAL...JOE THORNTON...PAUL STASTNY...BRENDEN MORROW...BRIAN RAFALSKI>

Yea, cause Im sure Coaches are surprised to see these names as people who "can hurt" ;)
