Apparently excitement isn't a big priority in Team Canada's entry this year... lots of defensive grumpiness behind the bench.
Good for Burns, though. He'll have to handle the French media queries.
The Senators could do far worse than to get Burns behind the bench for 08-09. He is a smart veteran coach with a proven track record, the kind of guy who could instantly command the respect of the players.
Anyone else find it interesting that LA's associate coach is going, despite the obvious availability of their head coach? A cynical man would think Marc Crawford hasn't got much time left in the NHL
Maybe not but with a voice like that he's a sure thing for broadcasting ;)
He DOES sport a Craig Simpson hairstyle...
I'm just glad they took my suggestion and added PAt Burns! Bi-lingual and a great opportunity to coach considering it is only a short tournament with minimal travel.
James, do you know what Lindy Ruff needs to do to get some attention from Hockey Canada? Kind of ridiculous that this guy never even gets a sniff. Maybe the US team should kick his tires...
