Chasing Brunnstrom

I've got more on the Fabian Brunnstrom pursuit at Globe on Hockey, including the news that Detroit feels it is back in the running now that Dave Nonis is out in Vancouver.

Nice post. Your right that the hype for Brunnström has really died, just like Färjestad in the playoffs.
On a team like Färjestad that is chocked full of veteran talent, he really excelled. The supporting cast was obviously helpful, but yet he found ways to shine when the rest of the team stunk.
He'll be hard pressed to make the Wings straight-up. Perhaps Detroit would be a good training ground considering all the other Swedes but given the Canucks weaknesses at forward, Van-city would quick avenue to an NHL starting job (IMO)
