Journalism welcomes Sean Avery
Macho man and provocateur Sean Avery — by some accounts the most hated player in the National Hockey League — will be joining the estrogen-infused world of fashion as an unpaid intern at Vogue magazine.Another strange story today.

Somewhat appropriate for a guy who doesn't know what color he's going to be wearing next fall.
Huh. I thought it was strange to also see him in this month's Marie Claire (Apr), under the topic "Cool Guys Talk Fashion". (Cuz you guys were all dying to know *that*) Ironically, he's dressed like complete slob in the photo. Maybe he's realizing he needs to look for a new job. *shrugs* Wierd
He realizes Condé Nast only do unpaid internships, right?
The best part of the New York Magazine article (which sparked the scuttlebutt about the internship) was retired referee Paul Stewart's description of Avery:
“Sean Avery is like a case of jock rash. It’s there, it bothers you, and eventually you have to just play through it.”
Let me guess, his first fashion interview will be with Lisa Loeb discussing granny glasses.
I think this is cool. If I had the means to pursue my interests, I'd certainly do it--why should Avery be any different?
