Montreal recalls six

The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forwards Kyle Chipchura, Matt D’Agostini and Brock Trotter, defensemen Mathieu Carle and Pavel Valentenko, as well as netminder Yann Danis have been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. All players will join the team later today.

Hamilton didn't make the AHL playoffs, so this makes sense. Expect every big-league team to do this with its prospects and depth players.

Wow. No Corey Locke, who was the most recent AHL Player of the Month, and was recalled twice, playing one game. Shows that none of the team's AHL vets are in their plans at all... Danis is just up because he's all they have for a 3rd goalie.

Brock Trotter played in the MJHL when I covered that league.

That means I'm officially a 30-something, even if my birth certificate says it happened some time ago.
