Oilers re-sign Grebeshkov
The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Denis Grebeshkov to a one-year contract.
In his first season with the Oilers, the 6'0", 209 pound native of Yaroslavl, Russia, scored three goals and 15 assists for 18 points in 71 games to finish third in scoring among Oilers defencemen behind Tom Gilbert and Joni Pitkanen. He was fourth on the Oilers in plus/minus at +2 and registered 22 penalty minutes while averaging 16:52 minutes of ice time per game.>> team release

He has quickly become one of my favorite rearguards.
Hes gone from being literally nicknamed "garbagekov" to one of the most trusted dmen on the oil
If he plays the way he down the stretch hes in for a gilbert type contract
