Top point-per-minute players
I'd meant to do this before Round 2, but here's a very quick Behind The Net look at the most prolific point-per-minute players out of those still in the mix (5-on-5 regular season numbers):
| NAME | TM | GP | TOI/60 | G/60 | A1/60 | A2/60 | P/60 | |
| 1 | SIDNEY CROSBY | PIT | 53 | 14.42 | 1.41 | 1.49 | 0.47 | 3.38 |
| 2 | EVGENI MALKIN | PIT | 82 | 14.88 | 1.48 | 1.18 | 0.54 | 3.20 |
| 3 | PAUL STASTNY | COL | 66 | 14.26 | 1.34 | 0.7 | 1.08 | 3.12 |
| 4 | MIKE RIBEIRO | DAL | 76 | 13.79 | 1.09 | 1.15 | 0.63 | 2.86 |
| 5 | JOE THORNTON | S.J | 82 | 15.17 | 0.87 | 1.4 | 0.58 | 2.84 |
| 6 | H. ZETTERBERG | DET | 75 | 14.42 | 1.44 | 0.72 | 0.67 | 2.83 |
| 7 | PAVEL DATSYUK | DET | 82 | 14.33 | 0.92 | 1.33 | 0.51 | 2.76 |
| 8 | MAREK SVATOS | COL | 62 | 10.84 | 1.87 | 0.45 | 0.27 | 2.59 |
| 9 | ANDREW BRUNETTE | COL | 82 | 12.30 | 0.71 | 1.13 | 0.71 | 2.56 |
| 10 | WOJTEK WOLSKI | COL | 77 | 12.87 | 0.79 | 0.97 | 0.79 | 2.54 |
The Avs get a lot out of the low-minute players on their roster, but Svatos was out and Wolski left the game with an injury last night in the loss against Detroit. Both could be big blows.
I'll have a more complete run through the numbers, offensive and defensive, tomorrow.
