'Hawks sign three
General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have agreed to terms with three of the team’s restricted free agents – Adam Burish (forward), Dustin Byfuglien (forward) and James Wisniewski (defenseman).Just some depth signings, but worth a small mention. It's no secret that the Hawks expect Byfuglien and Wisniewski to be more than depth players in the not too distant future, though. Burish they hope will be a strong PKer/checking forward down the line.
And actually, I think both Burish and Wisniewski were on Team USA this past World Championship, were they not?
You think Byfuglien is a depth signing??
I think he has the potential to be very good. I saw that in junior.
He's switched positions and spent some time in the minors last year, so we'll see. I think it'd be interesting to see him get more time in a scoring role.
The real questions for the Blackhawks are: how many games will Havlat end up playing in, can Toews play a full season and what will they do with Khabibublin.
