A new face on the Thrashers beat
With Craig Custance moving on to a new gig in Hockeytown with The Sporting News, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has passed the ThrashersBlog torch over to Mark Knobler, who had been covering the Georgia Tech football team.

Knobler inherits quite the following. Custance was one of the best U.S. beat writers covering hockey and the switch could be a loss for fans in Atlanta, who don't have a ton of options for coverage.

CC will be missed, but Knobler has done an excellent job with the Tech beat the last few years. The bar has been set high by Craig, but Knobler shouldn't disappoint.
