Malkin signs extension

Well, after Hossa's departure this seems inevitable.
What does LA think of this deal?
Malkin > Hossa.
This was happening regardless of Hossa signing or not signing.
I would agree it was happening regardless, but Hossa leaving alleviated a lot of pressure from the terms of the contract. Malkin is better, particularly because he will be part of Pittsburgh's future, I don't understand why some fans have been so cursory into trading him.
