Vermette, Senators avoid arbitration
Antoine Vermette has avoided arbitration, the Sun has learned.
Sources say the Senators centre agreed to a two-year, $5.525 million contract this morning. He will make $2.525 million next season and $3 million in 2009-10.
Vermette's deal is likely less than he would have received in arbitration, given he had 24 goals and 53 points last season. He will be an unrestricted free agent in 2010.

Ville Koistinen.
Who?
I can just picture the GM
"Your honor, we asked 100 hockey fans if they knew who Ville Koistinen was, and none of them knew! Just check out this video!"
OK, now I see he played 40+ games for the Preds last year...how in the hell is this guy going to win arbitration?
