USA Hockey on blogging
USA Hockey Magazine has a piece in its latest issue on hockey blogging, complete with their list of the Top 10 blogs out there.
It's a decent enough introduction, although it would have been nice if someone from the blogosphere was interviewed. Still, people like Corey Witt from the Islanders and Helene Elliott from the L.A. Times are what I'd call "friends of the blogosphere" and have a pretty good handle on what's out there.

They should have ranked you higher, James. :)
Congrats on the mention!
...Helene Elliott from the L.A. Times [is] what I'd call "friends of the blogosphere" and have a pretty good handle on what's out there.
You mean that type of friend that never calls or visits, right? :)
I've talked to Elliott a few times on email actually, although it's generally after I've written something she wasn't fond of.
She's definitely reading the blogs, though.

Aha, that's probably the problem! ;) We're not pushing the right buttons!
Really surprised On Frozen Blog and Off Wing Opinion aren't mentioned, especially McErlain.
A small point, but it is disappointing that an article in USA Hockey Magazine is un-ABLE to spell hockey hall of famer Sid Abel's name correctly.
Need to start my plan to rise up and strike down Darth Eklund a few months early I see. BARF.
another example of the media not understanding how great I am
Don't get cocky, kid.
I can't believe they seriously wrote this: "Eklund, The Anonymous Hockey Blogger, is the number one NHL blogger on the Internet..."
Mirtle and Russo win this award hands down.
Eklund? Too bad they didn't do their research before publishing that article. What a joke!
