Kings re-sign O'Sullivan
The last remaining restricted free agent of note finally signs a contract, as Los Angeles and budding young sniper Patrick O'Sullivan agree to a three-year, $8.775-million deal today.
That's a pretty reasonable contract for a player likely to easily better the 60-point mark in those seasons. Only 23, O'Sullivan will still be a restricted free agent when this deal expires in 2011.
I think playing hardball paid off for Dean Lombardi.

Strange.. it seems that he takes a pay cut in years 2 and 3?

Pretty smart move by Lombardi, as Anze Kopitar and Jack Johnson figure to get quite a bit more expensive starting next year.
Even this Ducks fan has to admit it, damn good deal, Lombardi.
