Melrose approaches Code Red
Very funny post today over at Barry Melrose Rocks, where the blog's namesake is advised like so:
So be warned, dear reader. You must proceed with caution if your name is Barry Melrose. But then again, Barry likes to throw caution to the wind. So maybe proceeding with caution is out of the question. Ah, hell with it. Let's take this thing head on. Bull by the horns. Stuff like that. It's getting ugly for the Lightning, who have yet to pick up their first win and have scored only eight goals in four games. Three of the team's next five games are against three of the four remaining undefeated clubs: Minnesota, San Jose and Buffalo.
Tampa gets Atlanta on Tuesday and Toronto a week later, but has a very difficult November schedule and could be bottomed out a few weeks from now.
Melrose has his work cut out for him.

It'll be OK. They've got Gary Roberts! Don Cherry told us roughly 8,000 times during the '08 playoffs that Roberts was the real difference maker on the Pens.
((snicker snicker))
Edmonton Oilers are also undefeated. or do you have ESP for tonite BoA? If so let me know so i can wager on it.
Edmonton is still undefeated too (but with only 2 games played).
I think he says three of the four remaining undefeated clubs - ergo the Oilers are the fourth.
BD - I changed it when the complaints started rolling in.
Wanted to see if Oilers fans were still out there ... :)
"Tampa ... has a very difficult November schedule"
Yeah, when you're looking up at an entire league, your schedule is certainly a tough one ... by definition.
The Lightning have to Commit to the Mullet!
