Red Wings get date with W.
The 2008 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings have accepted an invitation to visit the White House and meet with President George W. Bush on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008. A ceremony is tentatively scheduled for 2:45 p.m.Pretty standard stuff. Detroit plays in Raleigh on the Monday night before heading home for a Thursday game, and will have time for the stopover in D.C. on the way.>> team release
