Emery, Cloutier on waivers

The Senators and Kings, to the surprise of no one, have put Ray Emery and Dan Cloutier on waivers today in preparation for a buyout.

Both goaltenders will be unrestricted free agents if unclaimed and bought out. There really aren't a lot of NHL homes available for them, either.

I almost feel bad for Emery. Seeing how well he did last year and then dropping off to as low as he did this year. I doubt he will be back in the NHL this year, give him a year in the minors to figure himself out and his game, maybe he might come back around.

Feel bad for a guy who is squandering his talent and at risk of pissing away millions of dollars in lost salary?

You may have a misplaced sense of sympathy.

I feel bad in the sense that it is disappointing to see people with such talent waste it for such frivolities.
